Valencia CF and teams from Norway, the United States, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom have already confirmed their presence at the Valencia Cup Girls 2025
The valencian club, which will defend the title of absolute champion from last year's edition, will be represented with an under-12 and under-16 team in the international women's youth football tournament, which will be held in its fifth edition between April 17 and 20 in the city of Turia.
Valencia CF, the reigning absolute champion of the Valencia Cup Girls, the Norwegian club Norsk Spiller Utvikling, Kildare KDUL from the Republic of Ireland, NSG and Rush from the United States and Steven Gerrard's academy have already confirmed their participation in the fifth edition of the international women's grassroots football tournament. The competition, organised by Asociación Sportea with the support of public institutions, will take place next Easter, from 17 to 20 April 2025.
On this occasion, Valencia CF will participate with two teams: one in the under-12 category (8-a-side football) and another that will enter the competition in the under-16 category (11-a-side football). The black and white club won the absolute champion's trophy in the 2024 edition and will seek to retain it. In the previous three years, Levante UD had been the overall winner of the tournament. For its part, Kildare KDUL, which will represent the Republic of Ireland, will make its debut in this women's youth football tournament. It will be the first edition that it will compete in and it will do so with two teams (under-14 and under-16). The Nordic team from Norsk Spiller Utvikling, who will participate with a total of four teams from the different activated categories, will repeat in this competition as they were already in the Valencia Cup Girls 2023.
From the United States, the NSG has already been confirmed, represented with three teams (under-12, under-14 and under-16) and the Rush will return. In addition, two under-19 teams belonging to Steven Gerrard's academy will arrive from the United Kingdom.
One of the main arteries of the Valencian capital will once again be the epicentre of the development of the matches of the different F8 and F11 categories. A unique space, with prepared facilities, and which forms part of the face of the city, as is the old bed of the Turia River, in addition to the possibility of holding matches in other fields and sub-venues given the growth of the tournament.
In its fourth edition, 800 footballers from forty teams from six countries and two continents have already participated. The fifth edition of the Valencia Cup Girls continues to focus on internationalisation. In any case, teams from different parts of the Valencian Community and the rest of Spain will also be competing in this international women's grassroots football tournament.
