The Valencia Cup Girls 2025 will feature teams from five countries in its fifth edition, including those from the United States, Norway, the Republic of Ireland, and England, who will join the Spanish teams. This Easter, between April 17 and 20, marks the return of the international women's youth soccer tournament, organized by Asociación Sportea. It creates a sporting, experiential, international, and sports tourism environment for the nearly seven hundred players, coaching staff, and families who will accompany them to each match.
From North America, the Rush Select 10 returns to Valencia; from Norway, Norsk Spiller Utvikling (NSU) will also be present, with four teams competing in four of the tournament's categories. A strong performance in each of the competition segments gives them a chance to win the trophy as overall champion. From Ireland, Kildare & District UL, a VCG debutant, will be participating with two teams (U14 and U16). This year, the fifth edition of the VCG, England will be represented for the first time, with Heswall Juniors - Hornet and the Steven Gerrard Academy (in the U19 division), the academy of the legendary Liverpool and England captain.
A dozen foreign teams will be vying for titles at stake in the various categories, while the Spanish teams will try to keep the Spanish teams at home. Both Valencia CF, the reigning champions of the tournament, and Levante UD, who had won the title in the first three consecutive editions, will continue to support the Valencia Cup Girls. However, the two clubs with the most teams representing them this time around will be Mislata CF and UE L'Alcudia, with four each. They are followed by CFF Marítim, a traditional presence in the tournament, and Atlético Vallbonense, with three teams.
Meanwhile, Tavernes Blanques CF, with two teams, returns to a championship that already saw the triumph of one of its categories in the first edition. In addition, Atlético del Turia CF, Burriana FB, CD Serranos, CF Cracks, CF Malvarrosa, Malilla CD, Sagunto FB, and UD Paterna will be represented.
In the U-19 category, the tournament will also feature the Arrels team, a combined team of players representing clubs and/or towns affected by Dana.
One of the main thoroughfares of the Valencian capital will once again be the epicenter of matches in the different F8 and F11 categories. A unique venue, with well-equipped facilities, and a landmark of the city, the former bed of the Turia River, also allows matches to be held on other fields and sub-venues given the tournament's growth.
As in previous editions, there will be various age categories: the G12 category for F8 (born after January 1, 2013), and the F11 categories, including G14 (born after January 1, 2011), G16 (born after January 1, 2009), and G19 (born after January 1, 2006). Furthermore, one of the key events in the tournament program will be the Legends exhibition match, which, as in previous editions with the support of Teika, will bring together pioneering and leading players at different stages of the development and brilliance of women's football. This time, it will also feature players affected by Dana.
