The collaboration of the clubs was essential to forming this team, allowing their players to take part in this initiative that aims to pay tribute to all the municipalities affected by the climatic disaster. The Arrels footballers come from towns such as Paiporta, Aldaia, Carcaixent, Alzira, Paterna, Vilamarxant, Corbera, Paterna, Manises, Alginet or La Torre (Valencia), and come from clubs such as E1 Paiporta, Paiporta CF, UD Aldaia, Discóbolo de La Torre, CDFB L'Eliana, CD Pedralba, UD Alzira, Inter de Xàtiva, Silla CF or the Feme Castellón futsal team.
The players who will be part of the team are: Alba Bagán, Noemí Gadea, Lucía Martínez Ruiz, Carla Navarré, Rocío Criado, Carla Talens, Ashley Andreu, Rocío San Lorenzo, Ainhoa Ibáñez, Elena Arlandis, Rocío Albelda, Ivet Ivanova Kostova, Carmen Alcácer, Carla Lacueva, Coral Quintana, Lucía Martínez Rodríguez, and Greta Dumitriu Rotglà.
Many of these players, again with permission from their clubs, were able to have their first contact prior to the tournament this past Friday with a session held at the Valencia CF Sports City facilities, thanks to the collaboration of the club and its Foundation, which provided free training space.
The Sportea Association, organizer of the Valencia Cup Girls, will be fully inviting the players of this "selection" so they can enjoy their sport at no cost, with a coaching staff and equipment at their disposal. They will be able to represent, where possible, clubs particularly affected by the climatic tragedy. Teika is collaborating with Arrels' kits.
As in previous editions, there will be various age categories: the G12 category for F8 (born after January 1, 2013), and the F11 categories, including G14 (born after January 1, 2011), G16 (born after January 1, 2009), and G19 (born after January 1, 2006). Furthermore, one of the key events in the tournament program will be the Legends exhibition match, which, as in previous editions with the support of Teika, will bring together pioneering and leading players at different stages of the development and brilliance of women's football.
