UE L'Alcudia Wins the 2025 Valencia Cup Girls' Overall Standings

The Ribera Alta club claimed the championship title in three of the four categories, while Mislata took the title in the international women's youth soccer tournament

The fifth edition of the Valencia Cup Girls concluded with UE L'Alcudia as the champions of the overall club classification, which is the result of the points earned by three of its best teams in the different categories of the international women's youth football tournament. The Ribera Alta club won three of the four finals this Sunday: U-14, U-16, and U-19. Mislata CF, meanwhile, claimed the championship trophy among the youngest players in the tournament, the U-12 F8 squad.
The 2025 edition of the Valencia Cup Girls thus concludes, with seven hundred female players participating, forming nearly forty teams from five different countries.
The day of finals began with the U-14 category (born after January 1, 2011, with the admission of two U-16 players). UE L'Alcudia faced the Norwegians Norsk Spiller Utvikling (NSU) at the Serranos stadium, with the Valencians winning 2-0. Abril Perera was the MVP.
The second final of the day was in the U-16 category (born after January 1, 2009, with the admission of two U-19 players), and the same clubs were competing. In this case, the title had to be decided in a penalty shootout, with the final score of 7-8 in favor of the team from Ribera Alta. Noa Clemente was the MVP.
L'Alcudia, also a finalist in the U-19 category (born after January 1, 2006, with the admission of up to four players of any age, according to the rules), faced Mislata CF. The score ended in a goalless draw and a penalty shootout, with the former winning 5-4 again. The last final was between the same clubs. This time, in the U-12 category (born after January 1, 2013, with the admission of two U-14 players), Mislata won 2-1, with Sophia Victoria Godoy named MVP.
The tournament concluded with a two-and-a-half-day tournament featuring a total of 82 matches, which took place over the course of the days at the municipal facilities of Pont de Fusta, Serranos, Punte de la Exposición, Tramo II, and Doctor Lluch in the city of Turia, although the finals were held entirely in Serranos.

Referentes and Arrels, a special meaning
The origin of it all. A tribute, a tribute to, and recognition of those who moved the wheel of women's football in Valencia and its expansion to the rest of Spain. A way to bring together those figures who marked different eras between the 1980s and the present day, after they've already hung up their boots. This is the essence that has always been emphasized by the Valencia Cup Girls with the celebration of the Referentes by Teika match. A good vending company, fully identified with and dedicated to the visibility and support of Valencian women's sport, has always believed in this gathering of top and leading figures in football.
The match was held at the Serranos football field on Saturday, in the heart of Valencia. At the foot of historic, identifiable towers, which were the ones that "bent" on the players who showed pure football, and whose motivation, competitiveness, and even less the good rapport between them, has not diminished over the years. And it all happened before the eyes of the younger generations, those girls and teenagers who are competing in the Valencia Cup Girls international youth women's soccer tournament.
At Serranos, Carmen Nebot, Yolanda Román, Mónica Gimeno, Mariví Simó, Ainhoa Gil, Tere Saurí, Lucía Llano, and Creu Ferrer, wearing red jerseys, gathered; while Ana Hernández 'Petit', Lucía Earlington (a player invited to share this experience with the Referentes), Empar Broch, Silvia Eleuterio, Saray Milà, Eva Antonio, Montse Soler, Laura Belenguer, Irene Polo, Andrea Soler, and Sandra Guerrero, all gathered in blue jerseys. Forward Montse Soler took home the MVP award.
After the match, as is tradition, it was time for the Official Match Dinner of the Referentes, which in this edition, and with future ones, featured a special tribute to figures who were extremely important off the field for the development of women's soccer in Valencia. Thus, names such as Antonio Descalzo, Dolores Escamilla, Pepe Ibáñez, Paco Polit, and Pedro Malabia were honored.

Within the framework of the tournament, in the U-19 competition itself, a team was launched with the support of Teika and the Referentes themselves, known as Arrels. This team was made up of players from clubs not participating in the tournament and/or towns affected by COVID-19. Arrels put together a perfect group stage with a perfect record of wins, although they were eliminated in the semifinals by the narrowest of margins.
Furthermore, the participating clubs, UD Paterna, L'Alcudia, and Mislata, also belonged to this group of municipalities, and in each case were able to compete in the tournament with their own crest.
The Valencia Cup Girls, organized by the Sportea Association with the support of Valencia City Council, the Valencia Provincial Council, and the Sports Community of the Valencian Government's Department of Sports, is a sporting and social event that promotes the visibility of women's sports through the framework of football, embodying fundamental values such as camaraderie, fair play, development, healthy competition, and personal experiences. It has an international character and strives to include teams from all over the Valencian Community, given its roots and roots, from the rest of Spain, and from various countries around the world. In addition to institutional support, it also has the backing of companies with a clear commitment to promoting women's sports, such as Teika.
